IS YOUR CELL PHONE REGISTERED IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY?

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH

OCTOBER IS

BE INFORMED, STAY INFORMED with

LOCAL REVERSE 9-1-1, a.k.a Community Emergency Notification System (CENS)

CENS allows emergency responders to reach out to you via text alerts or voice recorded messages in the event of an emergency in your specific neighborhood.

Notifications could include missing children, endangered adults, police incidents, hazardous spills, floods, and fires.

Each registered cell number is directly associated with your home address (up to 3 numbers per address).

If you move, it is your responsibility to re-register.

Register online at www.911alertsyou.com (Do not text 9-1-1 to register.

9-1-1 should only be used in an emergency).

CENS is administered by the Maricopa Association of Governments, in partnership with local agency 9-1-1 communicators.

Help change the facts. Speak up, speak out, and make a difference for victims of domestic violence.

ƒ Domestic violence is most likely to occur between 6 pm and 6 am.

ƒ Survivors of domestic violence face high rates of depression, sleep disturbances, anxiety, flashbacks and other emotional distress.
