As there are no official statistics on the number of cargo thefts throughout Brazil, the graph above considers the official data of the states of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (the only ones that publish the official numbers) and which historically represent 84% of cargo theft in the country. The highlighted commodity represents the one of the most affected in the month for analyzed sampling.


2. Considering the unavailability of data from the electronics category for the month of December until the closing of this graph, the historical average of the previous three months was used; September, October and November.
