• TopMatch consolidates PowerBroker carrier search functions in one place.

TopMatch takes several different search tools within PowerBroker and brings them into one search. Instead of searching by only one specific parameter, such as lane preferences, rate history, available tractors, load board postings, or carriers who have moved loads in that lane for you in the past, TopMatch searches in every way you choose all at once.

• TopMatch allows you to choose the search components and determine how each characteristic is weighted for ranking carrier choices.

You create the TopMatch profiles that suit your needs. Users decide which parameters will be included in each profile and how each factor is weighted in the ranking process. For example, one parameter might be carriers who have hauled loads previously for you in the specified lane and another parameter might be carriers who have historically the lowest rate for similar loads. If you want to stress the lowest rate, the TopMatch profile can be defined to show you carriers with the lowest rate ahead of the carriers who have hauled that lane for you previously.

• TopMatch provides options for narrowing the search.

You can specify how search data is handled within TopMatch. For example, if your profile includes data from load boards, you can specify that the data must be fairly recent, perhaps less than three hours old. Or when using data on rates, you can tell TopMatch that you want to see only those carriers whose loaded rate shows a specified margin, maybe greater than 15%. By defining things in these ways you can get very specific search results weighted to your requirements,

instead of a broad collection of results. Instead of getting a long list of carriers that meet the general needs for a load, you can get a narrow list of carriers that meet your particular needs for each specific load.

• TopMatch gives you a list of the best possible carriers for each load.

TopMatch follows your instructions and creates a list of the optimal carriers for each load. In effect, TopMatch is saying to you, “Based on the characteristics of this load and what we know right now about all the carriers in our database, including carriers who’ve told us that they’re looking for a load, who’ve done it in the past, who said they prefer this lane, who have an available tractor in the area, who have the lowest rate, who have the right equipment, and who have the best service record– based on all these things, here are the top carriers you should call. They’re ranked and you can start tendering immediately.”

• TopMatch allows you to create as many profiles as you want.

You can have multiple search profiles that are defined and available.

Each search profile has a label, so users can know which one to choose. For example, you may want a search profile for hot loads that have to go in the next 24 hours. Or you can create a search profile that allows you to look for a larger margin. TopMatch was designed so that end users can manage it easily. You don’t have to be an IT expert to set up search profiles.

• TopMatch can feed to Waterfall Tendering.

The manual labor of finding a carrier for each load can be reduced further by choosing the option of having the TopMatch results sent directly to PowerBroker’s Waterfall Tendering. This additional digital freight matching tool will automatically offer the load to carriers on the list in the order given until the load is covered.
