Belmont Village Senior Living, headquar- tered in Houston, Texas, has topped out its seven-story community, Belmont Village Lincoln Park, located in Chicago, Ill. The completed community will include 149 as- sisted living and memory care residences and will open in summer 2019.


Headquartered in Vero Beach, Fla., Harbor Retirement Associates opened its Harbor- Chase of Wilmington community located in Wilmington, Del. The community offers 64 independent living residences and 32 memory care apartments.

Point Click Care, based in Mississauga, Ont., announced the grand opening of a new of- fice in Waterloo, Ont. The expansion will support the company’s growing staff and customer base. The majority of new hires at the location will be software engineers.


Heritage Senior Living, headquartered in West Allis, Wis., announced a partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Milwau- kee’s Partners for Health. The partnership will allow students from the College of Health Sciences and College of Nursing the opportunity to work with Heritage res- idents to research emerging technologies that may improve the health and quality of life for seniors at senior living communities. Projects will focus on top issues including transfer trauma, transitions, fall prevention, loneliness, and depression. An expanded partnership in fall 2019 will include speech, occupational, and physical therapy students.


Solana Beach, Calif.-based Senior Resource Group (SRG) plans to open the company’s first Texas community by mid-2019. Mara- villa at The Domain will be located in Austin and will offer 230 residences.


Pathway to Living, based in Chicago, Ill., broke ground on Aspired Living of La Grange, a 116-residence assisted living and memory care community located in La Grange, Ill. The community will offer 84 assisted living residences and 32 memory care studios and is scheduled to open in January 2020. The company also announced pre-leasing for its Heartis Village North Shore community located north of Milwaukee, Wis. The community will offer 71 residences for assisted living and 34 memory care studios and is scheduled to open in February 2019.


Northbrook, Ill.-based HUR announced Homestead at Hamilton, a Solvere Living community, has implemented a full cir- cuit of HUR strength training equipment with HUR SmartTouch Technology. HUR machines include a smart cloud-based ex- ercise and operating solution allowing well- ness staff to enter each resident’s personal training program into the SmartTouch system for real-time data.


Solvere Living, headquartered in Princeton, N.J., announced the construction of a new community in Henrico, Va. Aspire at Car- riage Hill will offer 148 rental apartments and is slated to open May 2019.


Vero Beach, Fla.-based Watercrest Senior Living broke ground on Watercrest Saraso- ta, a new community located in Saraso- ta, Fla. Watercrest Sarasota will offer 72

independent living, 96 assisted living, and 30 memory care apartments. Construction will begin on the community this fall with completion scheduled for summer 2020.


Appointments, Promotions & Recognition


Waltham, Mass.-based Benchmark an- nounced that the company exceeded its goal during its summer Radiant Acts of Kindness Campaign. The Radiant Acts of Kindness initiative first kicked off in 2017 in honor of the company’s 20th anniversary. This year, associates exceeded the number of 2017 acts by 26 percent—acts such as collecting and donating over 100 pairs of socks to those undergoing rehabilitation and paying for a mother and daughter in need of quality time to go to an amusement park.
