Diversified Healthcare Trust, a real estate investment trust (REIT) based in Newton, Mass, has entered into three new manage- ment agreements for 66 communities transi- tioning from Five Star Senior Living, based in Newton, Mass.: Charter Senior Living, based in Naperville, Ill., will manage communities in Florida, Maryland, Tennessee and Virgin- ia; Oaks-CaraVita Senior Care, in Roswell and Alpharetta, Ga., will manage commu- nities in Georgia and South Carolina; and Phoenix Senior Living, based in Roswell, Ga., will manage communities in Alabama, Ar- kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, and South Carolina.


Richardson, Texas-based RealPage, Inc., a global provider of software and data analyt- ics to the real estate industry, is to acquire G5 Search Marketing, Inc., a Bend, Ore.-based provider of digital marketing, advertising, and analytics solutions to the real estate sec- tor, in a transaction slated to close during the third quarter of 2021. RealPage reported that it plans to retain G5’s employees and continue its operations in Bend.


Silverado, based in Irvine, Calif., is devel- oping a new memory care community in Summerlin, Nev., a master-planned com- munity on the west side of Las Vegas. The community is projected to open in early 2022 and will support 72 residents. The commu- nity’s buildup and opening will be overseen by Tana McMillon, Silverado regional vice president of operations.


Sunrise Senior Living, based in McLean, Va., is exiting as manager of its United Kingdom portfolio, with transition planned to be com- plete by year-end 2021. Management of the 46 U.K. communities operating under the Sunrise and Gracewell Healthcare brands will be assumed by two leading U.K. provid- ers of senior care, Signature Senior Lifestyle and Care UK, with existing community team members remaining in place to provide continuity in services. Sunrise CEO Jack R. Callison, Jr. said the company will focus on “compelling growth opportunities” in North America.


Charter Senior Living, based in Naperville, Ill., and DMK Development Group have partnered for development of a senior living community in Paducah, Ky., with construction as soon as fall 2021 and completion as early as winter 2022.


The community will have 56 assisted living and 25 memory care apartments in a mixture of studio, one- and two-bedroom suites. Amenities multiple dining areas including a bistro, fitness center, library, and salon. Exteriors include courtyards and a putting green. The com- panies say the project will represent a total community investment of $14 million and create over 200 construction jobs, as well as 60 to 70 permanent jobs once the community is open.
