Atria Senior Living, headquartered in Louis- ville, Ky., broke ground on Atria Westminster in Westminster, Colo., a few miles northwest of Denver. The community will offer 107 as- sisted living and 30 memory care residences and is expected to open in early 2020.
Waltham, Mass-based Benchmark celebrated the grand opening of their first New York community: Whisper Woods of Smithtown. The assisted living and memory care com- munity is capable of providing care for up to 136 residents. The company’s second community in the state, Orchard Estate of Woodbury, will open in summer 2019.
Civitas Senior Living, based in Ft. Worth, Texas, recently introduced two new se- nior living communities in North Austin. The communities, Double Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care in Round Rock and Tech Ridge Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care in Austin, were acquired by Civitas in July 2018 and represent a collaborative effort between Civitas and Senior by Design. Double Creek offers 92 residences and Tech Ridge Oaks offers 86 residences.
Newport, Calif.-based Clearwater Living announced the grand opening of Province Springs, a community located in Colorado Springs, Colo. The community offers 160 in- dependent living residences and first began welcoming residents in February 2018. The company also broke ground on Clearwater at North Tustin in Orange County, Calif. The assisted living and memory care community will offer 100 residences. According to Clear- water, the project represents the first and only Catholic affinity-based senior living commu- nity in Orange County, although it will be open to all denominations.
Based in Lake Oswego, Ore., Eclipse Senior Living announced a new independent living brand—Embark by Eclipse Senior Living— which will join the Elmcroft by Eclipse Senior Living brand. The company also announced that it has taken on the management of 15 new communities effective October 1, and two additional communities in November.
Based in Des Moines, Iowa, Life Care Services celebrated the completion of Desert Willow Assisted Living at Sagewood in northeast Phoenix, Ariz. Desert Willow, which will open in late fall 2018, will provide assisted living to residents residing at Sagewood and will be open to the public.
Integral Senior Living, headquartered in Carlsbad, Calif., hosted a grand opening for The Shores at Clear Lake, located just out- side of Houston, Texas. The assisted living and memory care community first welcomed residents in September 2018.
OnShift, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, received a strategic equity investment from Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. (together with its affiliates, “Clearlake”) with participation from the Ziegler Link•Age Fund II, L.P. and existing investor Health Velocity Capital. The investment will help to expand OnShift’s product development in recruitment, work- force, and talent management. Additionally, Dan Groen and Paul Huber of Clearlake will join OnShift’s board of directors.
MatrixCare, located in Bloomington, Minn., has completed integrating Carequality into its platform, which allows the sharing of health information with thousands of acute

and ambulatory provider entities. The com- pany also announced that Pegasus Senior Living selected MatrixCare as its technology platform partner.
PointClickCare, based in Mississauga, Ont., joined the AMR Challenge, a global initia- tive in collaboration with the Centers for Dis- ease Control and Prevention that accelerates the fight against antimicrobial resistance. PointClickCare will support the initiative by providing data exchange and analysis on prescribing patterns and processes in com- munities across the country.
Irvine, Calif.-based Silverado hosted a dedi- cation ceremony for its North Shore memory care community in Glendale, Wis. The com- munity is scheduled to open in early 2019 and will serve 85 residents.
