BAROMETER UP Burnley-based Panaz Holdings, parent


company to contract fabric manufacturer Panaz, has acquired London-based luxury interior textiles company Chase Erwin.


Blackburn-based Aldrock has been appointed


to a multi-million-pound project to refurbish homes in Preston which have been suffering from damp and mould for nearly a decade. The company has been appointed by National Energy Action to design, procure and oversee the remediation and refurbishment of properties affected by a failed insulation retrofit in 2013.


A new cinema set for Houndshill Shopping Centre in Blackpool town centre will feature one of the largest IMAX screens in the country.


The Backlot Cinema has signed as an anchor tenant of the second phase of the shopping centre’s redevelopment. It will bring 850 seats across nine screens, including a 10.8m tall screen as part of the immersive IMAX experience.


The cinema will be paired with The Backlot Diner, offering all-day dining, shakes and cocktails. The new 22,500 sq ft Wilko home retail store will also be housed in the extension, which is set to create 100 jobs and bring in 1.2 million shoppers and visitors.


Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone has


awarded the highest level of business rates relief to local businesses out of all enterprise zones (EZ) in the UK. A new government report shows that Blackpool granted a record £689,000, the largest of any single EZ in the financial year 2020/2021.


Blackburn-based furniture recycler TFR
