leightonhall.co.uk Who we are

Leighton Hall is the lived-in family home of the famous Gillow furniture making dynasty. Its heritage and breathtaking location provide a unique and versatile facility for a variety of audiences: seasonal tourism, weddings, educational visits, special events including theatre and shows, team-building workshops, year-round coach trips, corporate hospitality, business hub, networking, corporate conservation days, charity and community events.

What we’ve achieved

We were so proud to win the ESG award at the Red Rose Awards as it’s at the heart of everything we do. Recently, we implemented our new ESG strategy days, schools programmes, built indoor and outdoor classrooms, installed a biomass heating system, planted 30,000 trees, 20,000 bulbs and established 10 bee hives. We also renovated the dilapidated Victorian conservatory into a flexible meeting, business, networking, wedding and event space.

Why we love the area

Leighton sits in the Silverdale and Arnside AONB and we want local businesses to be able to access this incredible part of the county. We are partnering with local companies who have been incredibly supportive and receptive to our new ideas and I believe collaborative working with local businesses is the key to success for everyone in the future.

Lucy Arthurs Estate manager, Leighton Hall

Who we are

We are a management consultancy focussed on improving the supply chain and logistics for businesses and organisations. Our aim is to bring greater clarity and insight to supply chain strategy in order to offer alternative, more efficient, cost saving solutions. We design supply chains that respond and adapt to today’s ever-changing trends and demands.

What we’ve achieved

We have a broad client portfolio that covers industries such as shipbuilding, rail, food, life sciences and fashion. Our clients are in the UK, USA and Canada and we’ve worked with some of the world’s largest companies and well known brands including Honeywell inc, Network Rail and Barbour. Our latest project is setting up a new distribution centre in Vietnam and we recently completed a logistics strategy development for the UK’s biggest importer of rice. Our next steps are to develop new markets in warehouse design and development.

Why we love the area

There are good transport links and great support from the local business community. There are also opportunities to support other organisations, such as Port of Lancaster, where I am a port commissioner, and Escape2Make, a local charity we advise, set up to provide creative activities for young people who may have challenges in their life.
