Operations Manager Samuel Knott says:
“Students are coming in and asking about T Levels by name…”
Says Zoe Ashton, lecturer in Health, Science and Education at Burnley College and national T Level Ambassador.
She’s watched T Levels, grow from a new qualification into a fully-fledged career pathway with real interest from new students.
Site Surveying Services Ltd, who are based in Clitheroe say that taking T Level Students on placement offers great advantages for their company.
“We have found our T Level Students are very keen to learn which has been hugely beneficial for our business.
Our industry has a serious shortage of skilled workers and T Levels is bridging the gap, bringing through the next line of surveyors and engineers needed in such vital job roles.”
The combination of classroom learning with real-world-workplace experience has a big appeal to students too.
Lucy Brotherton studied T Level Healthcare Science and is now reading Midwifery at the University of Manchester:
“There are so many different pathways to progress when you know what subject area you want to work in. A Levels aren’t for everyone and with T Levels you can achieve a place at one of the country’s leading Universities.”
Zoe says it’s time for local industry to join in this revolution:
“It’s a great opportunity for business leaders to influence learning for the future to make it more relevant to their industry all while getting the opportunity to work with passionate new potential employees.”
