01627 FLAKKEE. A European favorite, and you’ll see why when you grow it. This is a very heavy yielder, has good orange color, nice flavor, strong tops for easy harvest/pulling. 01616 BARRACUDA HYBRID. An early Nantes type. Vigorous plants produce 8 to 10 in. long, smooth, slender and cylindrical carrots with a diameter of almost 2 in. Carrots are slightly tapered with smooth shoulders and an excellent, dark orange color in- side with a small to medium core. Doesn’t develop green shoulders or a green core under normal to difficult grow- ing conditions. The leaves grow upright and are not too dense, helping airflow and limiting susceptibility to fungal attack. Produces high yields and is very suit- able for processing and fresh market.
