MAKING THE CITY GREENER Environmentally Conscious Construction S
et in the heart of vibrant Lancaster City, Landis Place on King has opened its doors to eager residents and is becoming a place where a new community will grow
and thrive.
Triving is central to the mission of Landis Place on King in more ways than one. Not only will countless families, friendships and futures thrive in the new West King Street community, but thanks to the intentional adherence to “greener” construction techniques in the building, the environment will as well.
Environmental stewardship is part of what makes Landis Place on King so special, and Bob Bennett, one of the community’s earliest arrivals, agrees. “Lancaster City has a special place in my heart, and Landis Communities is doing things to make this city even better,” he notes.
“At the heart of these “green” initiatives is stewardship, which is one of the core tenets of life at Landis Communities,” said Larry Zook, President & CEO of Landis Communities. “By doing our part to help protect and sustain our environment and its natural resources, we believe we are stewarding our planet and our futures well.”
One of the more aesthetically pleasing “green” features of Landis Place on King is the lush planters that populate the outdoor spaces and are friendly to pollinators – bees, butterflies, and other insects. “And they are perennials,” said Linford Good, Community Design Specialist with Landis Communities. “Tat means they won’t need to be replaced every year.”
