Carolyn Carretta shares her story with fellow residents.

and intergenerational connection. Carefully thought-through questions guide each storyteller from childhood memories to adult experiences. Every session offers a new window into residents’ experiences, values, and spiritual growth.

Mona Frey, Executive Director, said, “Life Stories gives each resident a moment in the spotlight, where everyone’s attention is directed only at them. When questions and comments are offered by the resident audience, the person in the spotlight feels valued by their peers, and that their life has purpose.”

As with all that is done at WMH, the program is grounded in the core mission of serving older adults with Christ-like love and dignity, in a setting where faith is both foundational and a daily companion. It echoes the organization’s commitment to spiritual well-being and social connectivity, two priorities that guide life at WMH.

Tis simple yet powerful initiative is building trust and a sense of belonging, both key to making WMH the friendly community it strives to be. No matter their background or abilities, every resident at WMH knows they are part of something special and that their stories matter.
