Thriving
at Home, Together™
Jigme’s supervisors appreciate how his wisdom and experiences have made him a valuable asset to Landis at Home clients. "Many of our clients have traveled to countries outside of the U.S., and Jigme has connected to many of them,” said Michele Sipel, Director of InHome Services. “We have several male clients who are thankful for a male caregiver. Jigme has one client he has been serving for almost two- and-a-half years. Without Jigme’s help, this client would not be able to remain in his home. Jigme has learned this person’s routine, how he likes his eggs, when he likes to take his medication and how to support him with daily activities.”
And it’s not just Jigme’s skills that are so valuable. To his clients, it’s his personality. “Jigme’s personality is full of joy,” Michele said. “When he comes into the Landis at Home office, he greets everyone by name and asks us how we are. He always has a smile on his face and is so pleasant to be around. It’s almost impossible to have a bad day when Jigme is here!”
Jigme is a perfect example of how life teaches important and timeless lessons. And now at last, he can truly be himself and pursue his passion for service at Landis at Home.
