Meaningful connection and community are at the core of Landis Communities’ mission. A new Landis Place project in Manheim brings an innovative vision that will begin taking shape in Fall of 2022.

COMMUNITY GROWTH

L

andis Communities, along with Benchmark Construction, is planning a 177-unit residential development located on a 20-acre parcel of land on Doe Run Road in Penn Township, adjacent to

Manheim Borough. Te development is anticipated to have three, 30-unit apartment buildings, 59 units in pocket neighborhoods, and 28 residential units above a mixed-use commercial building. Tat commercial space may have a restaurant, a medical office, and another commercial tenant, all for residents and the greater community to use. Te intent is to also include a community club house, pickle ball court, and walking trails, designed to enrich the residents’ experiences and provide avenues to form relationships and maintain health and holistic wellness.

Additionally, there will be a Landis at Home Care Navigator available as part of the services offered in this new development. Te hope is to obtain approvals for land development by August 2022 and for site work to begin right away.

Tis is an exciting endeavor, especially because, as Beth Trout, Vice President of Advancement and Communications at Landis Communities, said, it will “meet a significant need for middle-market place housing and healthy well-being in the Manheim community.”

Tis new Landis Place development will play an important role as Landis Communities continues to grow and seek new ways to enhance the lives of seniors desiring meaningful community and purpose.
