END OF LIFE PHILOSOPHY


The Pastoral Services team at Landis Homes believes it is a privilege to accompany older adults and family members on this journey.


R


ecently the team created three resources for residents and their families.Honoring Your Loved One: Preparing for the End-of-Life Journey is a notebook that encourages older


adults to proactively work on a legacy project, clarify end-of- life wishes, and imagine meaningful rituals and services. When requested, the Pastoral Services team places a copy of Comfort and Conversation: During the End-of-Life Journey notebook at the bedside to provide scriptures and songs. Finally, the team trained resident volunteers who serve as Vigil Companions. Tey sit beside a resident when he or she is actively dying to offer a calm presence.


A guidebook for those companions has also been created. All are available through the Pastoral Services Team at Landis Homes.

OFFERINGS Landis Homes chapel


services collected $24,863.52 in offerings for local and international ministries from July 2023 – June 2024. An additional $3,259 was collected for Welsh Mountain Home. Pastoral Services also helped raised $809.87 for My Coins Count, supporting the work of Mennonite Central Committee.
