ALZHEIMER'’S BENEFIT WALK
eptember 21 saw nearly 50 team members, residents, and their loved ones taking part in the 2024 Landis Communities Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
With lots of support, the team raised more than $4,000 for the local Alzheimer’s Association chapter. Seeing people from across the Landis Communities and from several generations taking part made clear the organization’s commitment to be part of the fight against Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related diseases.
Director of Communications and Engagement Larry Guengerich commented, “When I saw the flood of people walking across the park, it made it clear to me this is something affecting so many and that our team helped make a difference in this fight.”
VOLUNTEERING
Residents served with a variety of organizations including Mennonite Central Committee, Book Savers, Red Cross, Global Discipleship, ReUzit, Joni and Friends, Project Linus, Red Cross, various Quilters Guilds in Lancaster County, and more.
