CSG completes acquisition of Eurotech Environmental Ltd

Leading waste management specialist CSG has continued its impressive growth by acquiring a respected and well- established tankering business.

CSG has completed the acquisition of Eurotech Environmental Limited, based in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

Eurotech was founded in 1991 and has expertise in tankering domestic and industrial waste, with a fleet of 18 tankers and 16 drivers. It has a turnover of circa £5m and 20 employees.

CSG, meanwhile, is this year celebrating 90 years of business and posted record-breaking turnover of £110m in its most recent accounts, with profits of £13m.

Steve Hicks, Operations Director of CSG, said the deal was another significant step forward for the business, which is owned by the Hart family, including Heather and Hiliary Hart, the daughters of founder Bunny Hart.

Steve said: “We are delighted to complete the acquisition of Eurotech Environmental Limited, which is a continuation of our ongoing strategy of geographic expansion.

“We have worked with Eurotech as a valued subcontractor for many years so we are aware of the business’ strengths and have a positive relationship with the owners, Chris, Karen and Nick Banks.

“Their ideal exit strategy was to sell to another family business and we are pleased to have been able to facilitate that wish.

“The Eurotech team will be warmly welcomed into the CSG team and we wish Chris, Karen and Nick all the very best for the future.”

Chris and Nick will continue in the business for a handover period to ensure a smooth transition.

The entire Eurotech team will continue to serve customers old and new from the Newark site and the business will continue to trade under the Eurotech name.

Eurotech founder Chris said: “This move ensures our long-standing commitment to providing a reliable, high-quality service lives on.

“In choosing CSG to carry forward Eurotech’s legacy, we are confident that their values as a family-owned business and their dedication to exceptional customer service align perfectly with our own.

“Joining CSG represents a tremendous opportunity for Eurotech to grow and further enhance our capabilities and we are excited to embark on this new chapter.”

Eurotech specialises in tankering from cesspits, septic tanks, sewage treatment plants, interceptors and leachate.

CSG employs more than 650 people nationally, supporting a national network of waste treatment and recovery centres.
