We are full members of the British Marine Federation and the Yacht Harbour Association. The team is headed by John Rushby who has advised marina owners, operators, developers and investors around the world for 20 years and is himself a Yachtmaster.
Our clients range from private developers, individual and national operators, local and central government, the Crown Estate, sovereign wealth funds and a range of banks, funders and insolvency practioners.
The South West is a fantastic boating location, with magnificent estuaries and harbours that are served by highly- specified marinas, from which to explore secluded beaches and inlets, only accessible by the sea. It’s a perfect jumping off point for Europe and beyond, with a rich maritime heritage.
Some of the region’s hotspots include; Falmouth, home to the world’s third largest natural deep harbour; Plymouth, which hosts a variety of powerboat grand prix and sailing championships; and Salcombe, recognised as one of the premier sailing venues in the UK.
Crossing the Severn, the Pembrokeshire Coast is the UK’s only coastal National Park. Wales offers a collection of four canals providing some 275 navigable kilometres; the Montgomery Canal, the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal, the Swansea Canal and the Llangollen Canal, including the World Heritage Listed Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
Colliers International has disposed of two marinas in Wales over the last 18 months and we believe that it is an area that will continue to attract investment.
The Group provides over 1,100 berths across four marinas from Cardiff in the South, to Port Dinorwic in the North.
