TRENDING NOW

Athleisure wear is seen on people inside and outside the gym.

Getting macros counted and receiving ready-made meals to your home with the exact macros needed to reach your fitness goal.

Protein bars are now in every supermarket shelf and newsstand. Are they taking over chocolate bars?

Publicised over social media via health/ fitness bloggers and ‘influencers’ who are endorsed by brands. Is a selfie in a boutique gym while drinking a protein shake now cooler than a selfie in a nightclub drinking a gin & tonic?

Fitbits and devices alike have allowed people to compete with their friends on activities like daily steps and calorie burns. We are now experiencing pubs and bars introducing competitive activities such as darts, golf and shuffle boards.

Vegan options are now widely offered, as gluten- and lactose-free alternatives; you would be hard pushed to find somewhere that doesn’t.

CONCLUSION

Landlords are seeing this trend and creating additional space within new developments for gyms. They are taking a hit on rents as they can see that having a gym within their development is a good anchor to create higher rental levels elsewhere and bring personality and footfall to the development.
