>emergent talent

During childhood, students are exposed to a variety of learning experiences. As potential is identified, it is supported early on by parents and teachers. Students are able to acquire foundational knowledge while developing a love of learning.

competency <

Through lessons, study, and practice both in and out of school, talent develops into competence. CTD courses engage students in active learning experiences matched to their identified abilities, allowing students to focus on a specific area of study and collaborate with like-minded peers.

> expertise

In late adolescence, CTD students participate in advanced- level coursework, mentorships, apprenticeships, and authentic work within a specific field. Through these experiences and more, competency eventually develops into expertise in adulthood.
