Online Family Program
This program is for bright, busy, and inquisitive students, kindergarten through grade 3. Experience short, flexible, online modules taught by expert instructors with experience teaching academically talented students. These classes provide parents with playful, engaging curriculum to help them develop their child’s critical learning skills, and to instill a love of learning in their child. For more information:

Time, Kitchen, Weather, & Games (K-Grade 1) How is math part of our daily lives? Math doesn’t wait for us to get to a classroom at school. It’s at the breakfast table and outside our front door. We play with it at recess. Have fun with the real-life math we use for telling time, working in the kitchen, understanding weather, and enjoying games. Explore how numbers and units can help us accurately predict and describe everyday experiences, anywhere and everywhere! During this course, students will:
Tell time with analog clocks and using elapsed time
Compare metric and U.S. customary units for measuring liquids and solids, as well as temperature and atmospheric pressure Design a scoring system for a new game you create
CTD PATHWAY: This course provides opportunities for playful exposure to math concepts. Skills in computation, measurement, and data representation are foundational for ongoing study of a variety of math and biological and physical sciences.
Anywhere & Everywhere Math: Bio-Measurement & Sports (Grades 2-3)

How do your favorite athletes use math? Math isn’t confined to a classroom. It’s in our blood, at the heart of measuring our bodies’ capacities and athletic performance. It comes with us as we rest, work, and play on soccer fields and basketball courts. Explore the real-life math of sports medicine and your favorite sports. During this course, students will:
Predict patterns in bio-measurements such as heartrates and blood pressure under changing conditions
Determine the appropriate measurement for gauging an athletic performance such as cardio and muscle endurance
Explain methods of keeping score and their fitness for corresponding sports
