Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern’s McCormick School of Engineering, Dr. Michael Peshkin, has been a guest on multiple CTD Backpack Conferences, where he shares insight and answers questions from students about robotics and engineering via video conference. CTD Backpack is the center’s online community for students and families.
Dr. Amy D. Pratt, Assistant Dean for Community Education Partnerships with the Office of Community Education Partnerships (OCEP) at Northwestern University, has been featured in CTD’s quarterly newsletter, speaking on the Next Generation Science Standards. Dr. Pratt establishes partnerships between Northwestern faculty and K-12 students, the community, and industry.

Center for Talent Development is at the heart of SESP’s work—developing, testing, and relentlessly improving programs, which spark lifelong learning in tomorrow’s leaders.
Developed by learning scientists at Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy (SESP), the FUSE program offers STEAM challenges in a student-centered, choice-driven studio. Since the summer of 2017, CTD has offered FUSE courses in both summer and weekend programs.
