CAI-OC Outreach Committee Surfrider Beach Clean-Up Slated for August 19

Join the CAI-OC Outreach Committee on Saturday, August 19th for a Beach Cleanup Event with the Surfrider Foundation. The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profi t organization dedicated to the protection of the world’s oceans, waves, and beaches so that all people are able to enjoy them. Through conservation, activism, research, and education, the Surfrider Foundation strives to preserve our environment.


Bring the whole family! Friends and children are welcome to join us. Beach cleanups are a fun and easy way to volunteer your time and help keep our beaches and ocean clean. It is a great opportunity to come together as a community, and to teach our children about doing our part to preserve the environment.


The CAI-OC Outreach Committee will be meeting at Brookhurst Street, Huntington State Beach in Huntington Beach at 9:00AM to pick up trash and other debris from the beach. Reusable bags will be provided. It is recommended that you bring your own gloves, hat, sunscreen, and reusable water bottle. The cleanup will conclude at noon.
