Howard’s Desktop Making Lemonade


Have we moved yet? The answer is, “No.” Last month we postponed an Eagle Cap Collectibles auction because we needed to drop everything and move. A buyer suddenly wanted our home, and wanted it so urgently that we were asked to move out in just 30 days!


Linda gave notice to the medical clinic where she worked, and we started the       moving van and driven away. Then the buyer backed out.


Now Linda can’t even get her job back. After she left, her position was changed from a trained nurse to a medical assistant (which doesn’t require a nursing  her for budgetary reasons.


What do you do when life gives you lemons? Make lemonade, of course. After we got the news that the sale wasn’t going to go through, we left our house a mess and went on a mini-vacation to visit Linda’s folks on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. With our son and daughter-in-law we spent a day playing tourist in Port Townsend and on another day visited Olympic National Park.


Now we’re home and (sorta) moving back into our house. One good thing, it’s probably in better condition that it has ever been. So we plan to put our dreams of moving on hold and enjoy our beautiful home and our wonderful community to the fullest.
