The EP&M Co. bases were made for about three years though we do not know when pin bases were made at the Victor Factory wile also being made elsewhere as proprietary products for Locke. The early EP&M Co. pins often have the embossing LOCKE’S PAT on the head of the steel bolt though the marking can be hard to see if will usually reveal the marking on the bolt head if it is hard to read. For some reason Fred consistently listed his patient date for these on all markings as March 13 instead of the actual issue date of March 14. This error persisted with all Locke marking stamps until the end of Fred’s name and date marking use a decade later.
