On Easter morning, Jim and Beth Fast (formerly pastor of Community Bible Church of Prince Albert, Sask.) joined our worship. Beth ministered through music. Our Sunday School has supported

Door of Hope International (DOHI) for many years. So it was our privilege to have Paul Popov, son of Harlan Popov, here on April 29. Harlan Popov was imprisoned and tortured for his faith for 13 years in Communist Bulgaria. DOHI is a voice and a helping hand for persecuted Chris- tians worldwide. Would you like to read the obituary of someone on this page? Usually you can simply search online for “obit firstname lastname” and the obituary you are looking for will probably be the top one in the search results. Occasionally it is helpful to search “obit firstname lastname city.” If you can’t find the obituary right away, it probably is not available online.

Countryside Bible Church Meade, Kan. Clay Tatro, born to Michael and Sheila Tatro, April 22.

Mother’s Day Women’s Ministries meet- ing on May 7. Melissa Marasco, mother of five little ones, gave her testimony, then we shared pictures and interesting facts about our mothers. Our leader, Eileen Traeholt, also presented a feature about the many benefits and uses of chia seeds. We enjoyed chia seed desserts as well as a beautiful “flower type” arrangement of fruit on skewers. Several members are preparing the Beacon Bible Camp facilities for the summer. Dan Marasco, who teaches Bible at Lustre Christian High School and attends our church, has been the chairman of the camp board this year. We are so thankful for his help in preparing the camp for opening on June 10. Many of us have been preparing for months, designing brochures, locating speakers, ordering supplies, and doing the myriad of jobs that have to be done before camp begins. Pastor John will co-direct junior high week. Sharon Skillman, Correspondent

Dedicated to calling whole-life, whole- world disciples, Urbana is an eye-opening global missions conference, a sacred space for college and graduate students, faculty, and church leaders to hear God’s call. Discern Your Place in God’s Global

Mission is the theme for this year’s Urbana 18 to be held in St. Louis, Dec. 27-31. FEBC encourages our college

and graduate students to attend this triennial missions event sponsored by Inter Varsity (urbana.org). You can choose from 200 seminars to attend and be exposed to over 260 Chris- tian organizations. As an incentive to participate, the FEBC Commission on Global Partnerships will match as- sistance from a student’s home church up to $200. For the “super early bird” savings, register by June 30! Request an application form from info@febcministries.org.
