Salem Church Waldheim, Saskatchewan Darrell Derksen, Pastor salemchurch.ca Te Women of Waldheim hosted a

spring tea for ladies of all ages of our com- munity. A unique feature was a succulent workshop put on by the local greenhouse. Christian Service Brigade (csbmin-

istries.org) boys’ clubs had spring wind- up events. Te Stockade, grades 3 to 6, enthusiastically enjoyed a night of pine derby races with the amazing cars that they made. Friends and families packed the house to cheer them on. Te Battalion group, grades 7 to 12, camped out by the river using skills they learned over the year. Tis has been a very popular program in our community. Each woman was honored with a rose

on Mother’s Day. What a joy to also cele- brate three baptisms that day! Tree of our young people graduate at

the end of June, and we wish them God’s blessing in their future endeavors. Pastor Darrell is on a well-deserved

sabbatical break until September. One of the things he will do is to take a class in Jerusalem for three weeks. We pray God’s peace, spiritual renewal and rest for him and his family this summer. Te annual Waldheim Missions Con-

ference is set for the end of July. Events are planned for all ages. Tis is a great opportunity for all the churches in our community to work together. Baptisms: Tree in May Provided by Church Staff

Countryside Bible Church Meade, Kansas Seeking pastor countrysidebiblechurch.net Of the 30 kids in the Jr. High Trek

group, 22 completed their books to qualify for a camp-out with canoeing, a hay ride, a late-nighter and a mystery meal. We pray

that God will use the verses our Awana clubbers learned and the speakers they heard to impact their lives. A notable event: Jake Z. Friesen cele-

brated his 105th birthday! We are blessed to have his godly example in our church. We also celebrated with three high school and two college graduates. Our elders each gave a charge to the students one Sunday that encouraged all of us in our walk with the Lord. Each summer our church looks for-

ward to Kan-Ok Bible Camp. Tis year Pastor Chuck will be the Junior Camp speaker. Te camp theme “Follow Me!” is taken from Jesus’ words in Luke 9:23. Pas- tor Chuck will focus on the life of Daniel. Our high school Sunday School class

finished a study of the book of Mark where they learned about the supremacy of Christ through his life, death, and resurrection. Each week they also explored a different section of CBC’s doctrinal statement and learned how to use doctrine to evaluate and discern as they look for a church in the future. Teir new series is an overview of the Bible, focusing on Redemptive History. Lastly, the high schoolers got to stretch

their faith as they shared the Gospel at a local mall. Tis was stretching and growing for those who participated. We are thank- ful for each high schooler and the Lord’s work in their lives. Rachael Wiens, Church Correspondent

Dalmeny Bible Church Dalmeny, Saskatchewan Dennis Friesen, Pastor dalmenybiblechurch.ca We have had many contacts with our

global partners. Greg Benson updated us with news from Ranger Lake Bible Camp; Eryn McDonald reported on her nine- month assignment in the Middle East with YWAM™ Herrnhut (ywamherrnhut.com); and Dave and Jan Tiessen and Mark and

Jessica Redekop with Harvest for Kids (harvestforkids.com) told us about their mission trip to Cambodia. Soul Sisters, our ladies group, was

blessed as they gathered together to hear testimonies and worship in singing. Over 100 ladies attended our 26th

Annual Ladies Salad Fiesta. Wendy Farha sang and also spoke on “Journey to Joy.” Ladies enjoyed delicious salads in a beauti- fully spring-decorated room. Moms were honored with a baked

potato bar lunch (served to everyone) on Mother’s Day. Men and children worked together in the kitchen. Senior high youth and leaders enjoyed

a weekend at Heritage House at the end of May. Melissa Buhler, the children’s coordinator, showed her appreciation by providing a great meal to those who served in Bible Discovery, Children’s Church and Kids’ Club.

Hans Elgby and his wife Wendy in our community. Tey have a heart for reach- ing out with the Gospel of Christ to everyone — young, old and in-between. Regular biweekly youth group meetings have been well attended. Meetings are held every two weeks to pray for the students in our schools. Monthly Personal Care Home pro-

the first five books of the Bible, finding our Lord Jesus in every book. We will
