ebcdallas.org EBC Library has made some major
leaps forward to better serve our commu- nity. A newly installed soſtware package affords greater flexibility in both cataloging and locating library assets. As part of this process, all of the 5,500+ materials for loan are currently being barcoded for quick check-out and check-in using our new barcode scanner. Tis will provide greater accuracy as well. Another recent addition is a children’s
library that contains books, videos, and a DVD player connected to a TV. Located next to the main library, this children’s library allows youngsters to read and watch wholesome videos while their parents attend a meeting in the next room. Te Awana program drew to a success-
ful close on April 25 with a family meal and an awards ceremony. During this year our Awana staff served 85 families with 170 children. Of these, about 35 percent call EBC their home church, 11 percent did not list a church home, and the remaining 54 percent attend 21 other churches in six different communities. About 75 volun- teers make the program work. In May the men once again conducted
a Fest-of-Oil to change the oil in the cars of single moms, elderly, and neighbors of our church. Women again held their annual May
Festival. Tis event originated many years ago as a mother/daughter banquet to celebrate Mother's Day. It has changed over the years to become an outreach, a place where women can bring their friends and family, their neighbors and acquaintances to a wonderful dinner and have them hear
the message of salvation. Te prayer of the Women’s Ministry Team every year is to help others know Christ. Te EBC-sponsored MOPS (Moth-
ers of Preschoolers) program closed out another successful year on May 22, having served almost 100 moms with an average of 50 moms at each meeting. Additionally, 60 to 75 preschool children were served by MOPS staff. Tis enabled the moms to focus on their lessons, social time, and networking. Te group expanded quite a bit this year since one of the objectives of MOPS was to form friendships with moms that would lead to introducing them to Jesus. Provided by EBC Communication Staff

www.humboldtbiblechurch.ca Our church prepared, served, and
cleaned up aſter the meal at the Humboldt Community Kitchen on May 8. Each week the kitchen serves approximately 80 people. We also interact with the people by reading stories to the children, play- ing games, and engaging in one-on-one conversations. A Ladies and Girls Tea was held May
10 in the beautifully decorated fellowship hall. A devotional was done along with a testimony from one of our ladies. We were blessed with the singing of two hymns and a special hymn for the children. Baptisms: Tree in June New Members: Tree in June Linda Batza, Church Correspondent

August 16 to 26. Te team is organized by Samaritan’s Purse in conjunction with Trinadad and Tobago Urban Ministries. Te group will hold VBS programs in the less fortunate communities and also visit orphanages, correctional facilities and other sites to engage with the people and to hand out Samaritan’s Purse shoeboxes. Tey will partner with the local church to help with services and maintenance projects in the community. Tese young people hope to become more aware of the needs of the people in Trinidad in order to understand them and witness God’s love to them. Micky says, “I look forward to how
I will grow and be changed, as well as the impact I will have on others’ lives in Trinidad. Tis will be a faith-stretching ex- perience for us as we learn to rely on God during this trip.” Julie Ann Simpson, Correspondent
