Pacific as field accountant under Ethnos360® (formerly New Tribes Mission). Tey are in the process of serving itinerantly from the U.S. while also helping their oldest son prepare and settle into first year college in Missouri beginning September 2018. Missionaries for May were Adam and

Heidi Friesen, full-time workers at Roseau River Bible Camp. Tey were recently involved in a faspa [light lunch] and auc- tion sale that raised $28,000 towards the completion of Cyprus Lodge, a year-round facility at the camp. Seven international students who reg-

ularly attend our church graduated from Providence University College and one graduated from the Seminary. All of them have enriched our fellowship in various ways, and we congratulate them and wish them God’s blessing in their future service. A baby dedication on April 29 involved

four families and eight children. May 5 was the annual Spring Brunch

for ladies and daughters. Guest speaker Brenda Noble, former missionary to Tailand, encouraged the 80 attendees to “Bloom for Jesus Where You’re Planted.” To help people in need, we host an

annual spring “Free Garage Sale.” Donated clothing and household items are dis- played on tables, and people pick up what they need. Visitors receive free refresh-

ments and a brochure with information on our church services. Within two hours many items have found new owners — all for free. On Mother’s Day, each lady was given a

freshly-cut carnation as a “Tank-you” for everything they do for family and others. Our congregation is pleased to wel-

come Jim and Beth Fast to Grunthal. Tey have served as pastor in Prince Albert for the past 10 years. Baptisms: Five in April New Members: Five in April Gwen Froese, Correspondent

Richer Fellowship Church Richer, Manitoba Ben Funk, Pastor We offer many thanks to God for his

grace and mercy. In planning for Mother’s Day, we decided to intentionally invite our neighbours to enjoy a free church-spon- sored barbeque for Mother’s Day. Our people personally delivered a special invitation card. Tis was a new and a bit of an unnerving experience for some of us — we have never been that personal with our neighbours before! But it is time for the Christian church to be neighbourly and invite our neighbours to certain functions. For Father’s Day we repeated this

outreach with a slight twist. Marjorie and

I (Ben) as pastor couple went around the community and personally invited our neighbours again to another free church-sponsored barbeque. We are trying hard to present ourselves as neighbourly. We must become intentional in being the hands and feet of Jesus and simply love people. Te instructors felt that Discovery

Time (cefmanitoba.org/discovery-time) at the public school was a successful means of teaching students about the reality of Jesus and his redemption. Te instructors met students who have little knowledge of God and no relationship with him. Tis affords an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation about God in the public school. Te coordinators are already busy preparing invitations for Discovery Time for the fall semester. May 26 was men’s work day at church.

Te large set of front steps have been a challenge for the visually impaired to negotiate. We painted a three inch bright yellow stripe on the edge of each step to provide more contrast. We also need a second set of steps at the rear entrance of the church. Other upgrades need to take place over the summer. Our journey in the Word has taken us

through the book of Colossians this spring and early summer. Te community has asked us again to
