Martensville Mission Church Martensville, Saskatchewan Justin Klassen, Pastor
martensvillemissionchurch.com Pastor Justin has finished up his ser-
mon series on the book of Acts. Over the next few Sundays, he is speaking on how we have been entrusted with the Gospel and about our duty to spread the Word of God.
Our missions conference over the April
13–15 weekend started with a prayer meeting on Friday evening followed by a family brunch on Saturday morning. On Saturday evening a round-table discussion with our Haiti Mission Team gave every- one an opportunity to ask questions about their experiences. Te mission theme continued on Sunday. Conference speakers were Wes and Carol Schellenberg from InterAct Ministries (interactministries. org). Te full schedule allowed us to learn more about the work of InterAct and what God is doing among the Muslim people. In addition to his report, Mr. Schellenberg spoke about the life of a missionary using the Apostle Paul as an example. Tis year’s mission project provided
support to other InterAct missionaries who are in need of immediate funding. Following a report from Te Gideons, a second project was taken on to support church connections with Te Gideons International. Youth programs, led by Pastor Brendon
Johnson, have wrapped up for the summer. Junior youth has up to 22 attending. Over the winter, they completed a series on dating and are currently studying “How We Talk to Each Other” on how signifi- cant our words are and how they can be

either upliſting or hurtful to others. Pastor Brendon also holds an aſter-school Bible study with about 12 youth attending. Our Senior Youth is a smaller group, consist- ing of about eight. Over the winter they completed a series on apologetics, learning how to defend their faith. Currently they are studying the contrast between how the world and how the Scriptures define “a good life.” Planning is underway for the summer
VBS program. We look forward to the opportunity to minister to the children of Martensville.

faithebc.net Our Christian Education committee
provided a special appreciation dinner for all Sunday School teachers, Awana leaders, VBS workers and nursery staff and their families on April 29. It is amazing how many people it takes to provide leadership in all these areas. We are thankful for those who give of their time, energy and resourc- es to fulfill the Great Commission through their service in the local church. Tis was our first year to offer the
MUMS program. Young moms en- joyed this monthly night of fellowship as mentor moms lead their groups and focused specifically on their needs at this stage in life. Our final MUMS (Mothers Upliſting Mothers) event for this school year featured Jackie Weiss, CEF director from Omaha, speaking on the subject of “Nurturing our Children Spiritually.” Discussion groups followed picking up on the concerns each of the mothers had in leading their own children spiritually. Our church partnered with area
churches to sponsor the LifeLight Music Festival (
lifelight.org/festivals) held in Au- rora, Nebraska on June 9. Starting in 1998,
the three-day South Dakota Festival grew from 1,000 to over 300,000 attendees. Te Festival has now shiſted focus to impact even more individuals and communities through one-day festivals. All bands and speakers are Christians. Teir goal is to provide a top-quality, family-friendly event. LifeLight has been called by God to “take the church outside of the walls and bring Light into the darkness with the life-changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” Pray for the event’s impact as the pastors follow up with those who filled out response cards. Our youth ministered to the attendees through our food stand. Baptisms: Seven in April Alice Decker, Correspondent
Christian Fellowship Church Rhineland, Saskatchewan Tim Knelsen, Senior Pastor
cfcor.ca We are so thankful that our senior
pastor position has been filled by Tim Knelsen, our former associate pastor. With that position filled, we now hope to hire an associate pastor before the new school year begins. On May 6, our pews were packed with
community families who came to watch their children receive Awana awards. Tis program grew this year, and we added the Puggles® program for two year olds. Class- rooms had to be shuffled to find space for all the Cubbies® and Sparks®. What a blessing it has been to reach our neigh- bours with the gospel as their children learn God’s Word! Tis year people can enjoy coffee and
muffins for 30 minutes before Sunday School. Tis has provided a valuable and well-attended time of fellowship for our congregation. Tis summer we look forward to our
church’s Family Camp in June and VBS at the end of July. VBS will be a joint effort with Fairview Bible Church in Swiſt Cur-
