WRITERS


Dick Allsopp is a lifelong powerboater and sailor. A career naval officer and aviator, Dick retired as a Captain in 1988 after 32 years of service. His tours included Commanding Officer of VS 28 embarked in USS Independence; Navigator USS John F. Kennedy; and Commanding Officer USS Canisteo (A099). Dick has been involved with the United States Sailing Association since 1992 as an Instructor Trainer, Regional Training Coordinator, National Faculty member and with the development of the Powerboat program. He is currently on the Training Committee, Vice Chairman for Powerboat Training.


Timothea Larr has served as Chairman of the United States Sailing Association’s Training Committee and its National Faculty. As a naval architect, she has been involved with the design of powerboats and sailboats. Timmy grew up using a variety of powerboats to commute to the local junior program and racing events around Long Island Sound, ranging from small outboard inflatables to high-powered twin screw inboards.


PRINCIPAL ILLUSTRATOR


Joe Comeau is an illustrator and graphic designer. He regularly contributes illustrations to Cruising World and Sailing World magazines and has been teaching graphic design for several years.
