Southern Cross Club LITTLE CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS
Over 60 years ago, a group of intrepid tropical adventurers decided to start a Caribbean resort on a very sparsely populated island — Little Cayman. And thus, the Southern Cross Club was born. Founded in 1958, the Southern Cross Club is Little Cayman’s original resort. With only 14 colourful Caribbean beach bungalows dappled over 900ft of sand, this Little Cayman diving and fishing resort offers a one-to-one guest/staff ratio. Guests find themselves in a serene environment
that offers privacy, warm hospitality and personalised, diligent service. This, combined with stunning views, delicious cuisine and a first-class diving and fishing operation, makes the Southern Cross Club experience a resort visit like no other. With an 80% repeat guest rate, its abundantly
evident that Southern Cross Club guests truly feel like they’re coming home. Whether on the dive boat, fishing skiff or kayak, or lounging in a hammock sipping a cocktail and soaking in the view, visitors experience a unique blend of comfort and laid-back indulgence.
The Cayman Islands, British West Indies, has
been an independently governed British Crown Colony since 1962 and boasts the highest standard of living in the entire Caribbean Basin. Little Cayman, the smallest of the three islands, entices visitors with its accessible seclusion, unspoiled beauty and the healthy diversity of its colourful marine environment. At just 10sq miles, Little Cayman remains true
to what a Caribbean island should be. The island was mostly uninhabited for many years and rarely visited until even the mid-19th century. To this day, there continues to be limited development, mainly due to the fact that 75% of the Little Cayman shoreline is protected and maintained by the local Department of Environment, ensuring the island’s natural beauty remains as it is. The Southern Cross Club is located directly on
the South Hole Sound and guests can enjoy using the resort’s complimentary kayaks to paddle over to explore the uninhabited Owen Island, an 11-acre deserted isle located less than 1,000ft from the resort’s shore.
DON’T MISS Visit Little Cayman’s renowned Bloody Bay Marine Park, considered to be one of the best dive sites in the Caribbean
