Tsinandali Estate, A Radisson Collection Hotel KAKHETI, GEORGIA

In Georgia’s storied Kakheti region, Tsinandali Estate, A Radisson Collection Hotel stands as a place where history and celebration live side by side. Once the 19th-century home of Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, the father of Georgian winemaking, this remarkable estate has been reimagined by George Ramishvili, founder and chairman of the Silk Road Group. The estate’s architecture and interiors are

exceptional, while the amphitheatre and ballroom are acoustically engineered to ensure every performance resonates with clarity and warmth. Set among meticulously maintained gardens

and vineyards, the hotel offers 124 rooms and suites inspired by the moods of Georgia’s four seasons. The Chavchavadze House-Museum preserves portraits and personal artefacts of the prince and his family, while a historic wine cellar holds more than 16,500 bottles, telling the story of Georgia’s 8,000-year winemaking tradition. Surrounding vineyards cultivate indigenous grape varieties such as Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, and Mtsvane, which define the character of Kakheti and its people.

Each September, the Tsinandali Festival,

co-founded by Ramishvili with Martin Engström of the Verbier Festival and Avi Shoshani of the Israel Philharmonic, fills the estate with world- class music, including the Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra and leading international soloists. In November, the Wine Symposium, held in partnership with the Grand Jury du Vin of Switzerland, draws oenophiles and experts from across Europe. On the fifth floor, the Anne Semonin Spa

offers signature wine-based treatments, a sauna and steam room, and a panoramic outdoor pool that opens towards the Caucasus Mountains. A heated rooftop pool stays open through winter, while padel and tennis courts, cycling routes, and serene park pathways invite guests to explore at their own pace, among trees first planted by Chavchavadze himself. At Natella Restaurant, Georgian cuisine is

reinterpreted with creative flair, blending regional ingredients with contemporary technique and wines from the estate’s own cellar.

DON’T MISS Enjoy a glass of estate-grown Saperavi by the heated rooftop pool, with the snow-capped Caucasus Mountains in the distance
