Kantabile Afrika is a boutique, owner-run operator in Tanzania that was born out of a passion project. Cherero Camp, a member of Regenerative Hotels, is in a secluded area of central-west Serengeti, while Aurari Camp, the venue for Kantabile’s inaugural wellness retreat, is nested in the Mara River region where the Great Wildebeest Migration takes place annually. The camps are the result of the co-founders’ determination to stay true to their own values and beliefs, by challenging the status quo and operating their business in the ‘right’ way, both in terms of the environment and social impact. With an eco-friendly approach to luxury, the two


camps are built to the highest standard, comprising wood and canvas and with no permanent structures in place so the tents can be moved entirely without leaving a trace. The spacious tented suites are serviced by solar power systems and solar water heaters, so guests’ comfort isn’t compromised. Each oversized tented suite offers an interior living space of 50sq metres, plus a private verandah for watching the African sunrise or enjoying a drink as the sun goes down.


The diversity and abundance of insects and plants


makes the Serengeti a fabulous place to see animals and birds. The famous national park is home to the Big Five animals—lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceros and Cape buffalos. While out on a game drive in an open-air vehicle, Kantabile Afrika’s guests are often treated to sightings of giraffes, warthogs, hyenas, gazelles and zebras. Kantabile Afrika strives to create a nurturing


environment that fosters balance and harmony. The company celebrates female leadership and employs women to work in the bush. From the trailblazing head chef to the gracious hostesses, the camps thrive under the care of thoughtful female leaders. With all their basic needs looked after, guests can


focus on their immersion in nature and connection with their companions. They can indulge in delectable meals that are prepared with fresh produce sourced locally and rest comfortably in the sumptuous bedding of the guest suites. Kantabile Afrika aspires to act as a facilitator in
