Coulibri Ridge SOUFRIÈRE, DOMINICA
Perched high above Dominica’s south coast, Coulibri Ridge is a 14-suite, off-grid luxury resort that seamlessly blends environmental stewardship with refined indulgence. Here, sustainability doesn’t compromise comfort — it enhances it. Conceived over two decades as a model for self- sufficiency, this 285-acre sanctuary runs on solar and wind power, harnesses filtered rainwater and was constructed by local craftsmen, epitomising the essence of regenerative travel. Coulibri Ridge’s commitment to off-grid living
sets a new benchmark in eco-luxury. Solar energy serves as the primary power source, supported by discreet, low-impact wind turbines. Rainwater is harvested through a uniquely designed roof, then filtered and UV-sanitised to provide pure drinking water. The two chlorine-free infinity pools are purified using copper ionisation, and collected rainwater also supplies the greywater system, irrigating the flourishing gardens and much of the organic produce served at the resort’s dining venues, Mesa and Vista. Guests are welcomed into spacious studios and duplex suites, all with
breathtaking views. Interiors feature recycled teak, while ceilings are built from recyclable, mould- resistant aluminium. The exterior, made from locally sourced stone, blends into the landscape. But Coulibri Ridge is far more than a showcase
of sustainable architecture. Guests can unwind in two infinity pools, indulge in treatments at the serene spa using native botanicals, or take part in wellness sessions in the open-air yoga pavilion. Its privileged location offers direct access to the Soufrière-Scott’s Head Marine Reserve, famed for world-class diving and exhilarating water activities, including snorkelling, freediving, kayaking and paddleboarding. Just a short trip away, Bubble Beach’s geothermal vents offer a unique natural spa experience, while vibrant Soufrière awaits, with rainbow-hued houses and the irresistible scent of freshly fried ‘bakes’. A proud member of Beyond Green and a recipient
of numerous sustainability accolades, Coulibri Ridge offers more than just a luxurious escape: it’s an immersion into sustainable harmony and authentic Caribbean charm.
