Flavours, art and soul: a fresh season at Ekies All Senses Resort T
ucked away in the serene shores of Vourvourou, Halkidiki, Ekies All Senses Resort — a
proud member of Design Hotels — welcomes the 2025 season with refreshed spaces, artistic inspiration and immersive culinary experiences. A beloved destination for design- lovers and nature-seekers alike, Ekies continues to evolve, offering a thoughtful blend of barefoot luxury and authentic Greek hospitality. Tis year’s updates focus on two
key pillars: enhancing guest services and unveiling the full renovation of the award-winning Bubo restau- rant. Located by the sea, Bubo has
undergone a stunning transfor- mation led by Milan-based design studio CTRLZAK. Te redesign features earthy, durable materials, a 360-degree open kitchen, an upgraded breakfast area and a welcoming new entrance lounge. CTRLZAK also designed bespoke furnishings in collaboration with Te Prologue Studio, setting a new benchmark in coastal dining design. But what truly captivates guests
this season is the powerful presence of ‘HO-MA-GE’, an artistic installa- tion by visual artist and naturalist Tanos Zakopoulos. Once a centu- ries-old pine tree on the property, the
tree — now stripped of its branches and preserved through the ancient Japanese technique Yakisugi — has been reborn as a symbol of
resil-
ience and regeneration. Its oxidizing canopy of copper and brass will slowly shift colours, echoing nature’s ability to heal, transform, and renew. “Te pine tree thus finds a new life
after its apparent death, living on as a symbol and as an active member of the Ekies community — a commu- nity that includes both humans and non-humans, and owes much to these silent giants,” explains Zakopoulos. Culinary exploration remains at the heart of the Ekies experience. Under
the expert direction of celebrated chef Dimitris Pamporis, both Treehouse and Bubo have once again received Golden Chef ’s Hat accolades, with Bubo also honoured for its commit- ment to authentic Greek flavours. Tis year, Treehouse, perched among the pines, celebrates its 10th anniversary — a testament to its pioneering role in fine dining in Halkidiki. Guests will also enjoy the return of
the acclaimed ‘Ekies Walks’, a curated gastronomic journey through local ingredients and traditions, now in its
intimate
third summer. Meanwhile, ‘Bostani Nights’
inspired by the dinners
— held in the resort’s organic garden — will take place more often, offering guests meals
freshly
harvested herbs and vegetables. In response to growing demand,
Ekies has expanded its offerings for pet-loving travellers. New pet-friendly services include in-room beds,

allergy-specific food, beach mats and even access to a vet upon request, all adding up to ensure a warm welcome for four-legged companions. “As we continue to evolve at Ekies,
our goal is twofold: to enhance the guest experience and to deepen our relationship with the natural world,” says Alexandra Efstathiadou, owner of Ekies All Senses Resort. “Introducing tailored services for pets makes the hotel a destination for everyone, while Tanos Zakopoulos’ moving installa- tion reminds us of the irreplaceable value of the environment. Tis monu- ment to nature stands as a symbol of regeneration, resilience and hope.” With a renewed sense of purpose
and place, Ekies All Senses Resort, a member of Design Hotels, invites you to rediscover the magic of summer in Greece — where nature, design and soul-stirring hospitality come together in perfect harmony.
