7

For two decades, families across the UK and around the world have been supported through evidence- based experiences that nurture babies and young children’s early learning and development

T is approach brought to life through the award-winning, research-based programmes Baby Sensory and Tod- dler Sense, written by parenting ex- pert Dr Lin Day and delivered through carefully designed, age-appropriate sessions. WOW Word Group was later formed to encompass two additional expert-written, research-based pro- grammes, Mini Professors and Reading Fairy. Baby Sensory, founded 20 years ago,

began with a simple mission: to sup- port parents through evidence-based experiences that enhance bond- ing and early learning. Today,

its

award-winning sessions are celebrat- ed for helping parents turn everyday moments into opportunities for their baby to learn, grow and connect with the world around them. Many parents describe their Baby Sensory class as

the highlight of their week. A welcom- ing space where their baby lights up to the music, colours and activities, and where they feel supported, reassured and part of a community from the very fi rst session. As babies grow, many families jour-

ney on to Toddler Sense, where tod- dlers aged 13 months to fi ve years are invited to adventure, climb, dance, imagine and discover. Each week brings a new theme, whether that’s exploring the jungle, zooming off on a space mission or diving into an underwater expedition. While

tod-

dlers often see a world of play and adventure, every activity is carefully designed to support physical develop- ment, communication, social skills, imagination, curiosity and early cog- nitive skills, building strong founda- tions for lifelong learning. For children with an ever-expand-

ing curiosity about how the world works, Mini Professors introduces science in a playful yet meaning- ful way. From volcanoes to germs, colours to coding, the programme blends hands on experiments with

storytelling, songs and real scien- tifi c concepts. It’s designed to make science feel accessible, entertaining and empowering. Reading Fairy completes the early

years journey, helping children de- velop a love of books, language and stories long before they start school. Every session is inspired by the latest early literacy research and brought to life by four engaging characters that introduce phonics, vocabulary, rhythm and imagination. It’s an exciting, multi-sensory way to grow confi dent,

joyful readers from the

very beginning. Across all programmes, shared fo-

cus on connection runs throughout. Sessions off er families a warm, inclu- sive environment where memories are made, friendships are formed and chil- dren are encouraged to learn through play. With tens of thousands of parents attending weekly, the communities built within these classes have become a cherished part of family life. As Baby Sensory celebrates its 20-

year anniversary, it’s not only refl ect- ing on two decades of innovation but looking ahead to new adventures. Whether it’s a baby’s fi rst experience with bubbles, a toddler’s fi rst obsta- cle course, a child’s fi rst bicarb and vinegar explosion or the moment a story suddenly clicks, these early experiences shape confi dent learn- ers and create moments families remember forever.
