Knee and hip osteoarthritis are among the most common causes of long-term pain and disability in the UK

As cartilage wears away, every- day activities — and even sleeping — can become painful, often persisting despite physiotherapy, pain relief and injections. When osteoarthritis reaches a stage,

moderate joint replacement

surgery is widely regarded as one of the most effective treatments in mod- ern medicine. National data shows that nine in 10 joint replacements can still function well 15 to 20 years after surgery, with many patients report- ing substantial improvements in pain and mobility. Mr Majid Chowdhry (MBBS, MSc,

FRCS) is a highly experienced ortho- paedic surgeon, specialising in robot- ic-assisted joint replacement surgery using MAKO and CORI systems. Tese technologies combine pre-operative imaging with real-time guidance dur- ing surgery, allowing procedures to be tailored to each patient’s individual anatomy. More precise implant posi- tioning helps to create a more natu- ral-feeling joint, relieve pain and sup- port a smoother recovery. Mr Chowdhry is known for a pa-

tient-centred approach, accounting for individual lifestyle needs. From initial consultation through surgery to rehabilitation, patients receive personalised care. His expertise is reflected in consistently positive pa- tient reviews, with many reporting

significant improvements in pain and function. “Te experience I’ve had through-

out has been second to none. Mr Chowdhry has given me a new lease of

life and I can start to live pain-

free again,” says one patient. If your life is restricted by osteoarthritis, modern joint replacement surgery can offer a return to movement and independence.
