ebruary half-term is the perfect opportunity to shake off the winter blues and enjoy quality time together.

Get hands-on at the Science Museum, London One of the capital’s leading half- term destinations, the Science Museum is great for exploring interactive galleries and discovering hands-on exhibits that captivate curious minds. Exhibits include Wonderlab and Space Descent VR, which are perfect for sparking kids’ imaginations. Entry is free; optional workshops available at a small cost.

Enjoy a family staycation at Center Parcs On offer is a range of activities for families, including the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, adventure playgrounds and creative workshops like Pottery Painting. Adventure through space and science at W5, Belfast Northern Ireland’s science and discovery centre features more than 250 interactive exhibits designed to ignite curiosity and spark learning in children (and adults, too). Hands-on activities range from space exploration and robotics to medical science and construction. Tickets start at £7 per child, and under- threes go free.
Discover the National Showcaves Centre, Brecon Beacons Explore dramatic caves and tunnels while learning about Wales’ geological history. You’ll spot ancient fossils and discover underground ecosystems. Other attractions include Dinosaur Park, which has more than 220 life-sized models, and Mr Morgan’s Victorian Farm, where you can meet animals up close and get a taste of Victorian farming life.
