I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TREATMENT TO ANYONE AS THE RECOVERY WAS SO SWIFT — FIONA, 56
INNOVATORS As a leader in its field, the group is made up of pioneers and educators. Its consultants are key players
in
training the next generation of ortho- paedic experts; and they’ve helped to develop several of today’s revolu- tionary techniques too. Of course, the team is proud of its global success, but it’s what this means for patient outcomes that really matters.
advanced surgical and non-surgical techniques, the group’s consultants always examine every treatment option. Tey believe less invasive procedures are highly effective, and can reduce recovery times, which is why at Orthopaedic Specialists, joint replacement surgery is always the last — not the first — resort.
ACCESSIBLE With easily accessible clinics in Harley Street and across London, there are no waiting lists, and patients can self-refer by emailing or calling for an appointment. Orthopaedic
Consultants treats
self-funded patients and those with private health insurance, as well as providing a full service for inter- national patients, overseeing every aspect of their care.
PUTTING THE PATIENT FIRST After extensive pain and limited mobility in his right shoulder, Amin, 33, was diagnosed with early onset osteoarthritis and because of his age, consultant orthopaedic surgeon, Mr Ali Noorani, wanted to avoid a shoulder replacement, suggesting instead an innovative keyhole proce- dure called Comprehensive Arthro- scopic Management (CAM) alongside minimally invasive tissue therapy injections. Amin was delighted with the results. He says: “Mr Noorani was excel-
lent in taking time to explain my issues and setting out a treatment plan of action. I’d highly recommend him and the injections as they defi- nitely helped in combination with the keyhole surgery.”
RAPID INTERVENTION A quick recovery was a priority for another patient, Fiona, 56, who lives in France, and tore the ligaments in her right knee during a skiing accident. She says: “I couldn’t drive or
walk after my accident. I’d heard of Professor Adrian Wilson [knee and sports injury specialist] and so I called him, and he recommended the ‘internal brace’ technique. I’d recom- mend this treatment to anyone as the recovery was so swift, and 10 weeks on, I’m already walking in the Alps, and I hope to be back on the slopes by December.”
