t’s been a successful summer for Molly this year on the international competition circuit, as she’s been trotting around the globe testing her mettle against the world’s best climbers going from strength to strength.
This season, Molly made a ton of semi- finals, three finals – one where she placed fifth! – and she also won bronze in the Rock Master Duel event at Arco. Now ranked as the 8th best female lead climber in IFSC World Cups, and becoming one of the regular faces in IFSC Lead World Cup finals, Molly has earned her place among the elite.
Molly said: “I’m really excited that I’ve managed a top-ten ranking this year after missing two comps earlier on, and would love to challenge myself to go for a top-five next year. Beyond the next season, I’ll work towards the elusive Olympic Games. Of course it’ll be extremely difficult to get one of the limited places, but I like to have something to work for. And training boulder and speed will only make me a more all- rounded climber!”
