BUILT FOR THE MOUNTAINS
“I recently submitted a claim under Baggage Delay, as I was insured for a rock climbing holiday. Today I received a cheque for the full amount claimed, with no delay, no queries or quibbles and I wanted to let you know how pleased I am.” Alison P.
“I just wanted to say thank you very much for your email and for processing our claim so quickly and efficiently” Evelyn G.
Why do you need travel insurance? As an individual BMC member, you’re covered with £15 million worldwide combined liability insurance and £10,000 personal accident insurance. Club members also benefit from the £15 million worldwide combined liability insurance, but not the personal accident. In the UK our mountain rescue is free, and we have the amazing NHS, this is all the cover that you need for climbing and mountaineering at home. However, if you’re heading off on overseas adventures then you need to take out travel insurance. Even if you already have general travel insurance cover with your bank or credit card, it’s unlikely to fully cover you for trekking, climbing or mountaineering.
We’ve got you covered BMC Travel Insurance is built for the mountains and we understand exactly what cover you’ll need, anywhere in the world. Our experienced team understand the risks in mountain environments and all of our policies come with:
• 24-hour emergency assistance helpline • £10 million emergency medical cover • £100,000 search, rescue and recovery cover • £10,000 personal accident cover • £5,000 cancellation and curtailment
You can’t afford to be uninsured
A helicopter rescue can cost £10,000 and serious accidents in North America can give medical bills of over £500,000.
