EN POINTE Joburg Ballet is bringing
South African choreographer Veronica Paeper’s acclaimed production of Carmen to the Joburg Theatre. “When I produced La Traviata for Joburg Ballet, I found the dancers very skilled on a
technical level and superb dramatically, so I’m really looking forward to restaging
Carmen and fascinated to see what we can achieve,” she says. The relaunched Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra will bring Georges Bizet’s legendary music to life. The ballet will run for 10 performances from 6-15 April 2018.

ARTFUL ESTATE The Well Worn exhibition at
Cavalli Estate in the Helderberg region of Stellenbosch
weaves together intricate fashion and textile design. The pieces include figurative, abstract and conceptual works, as well as
sculptural, photographic and video graphics. The exhibition is open now and runs until 27
May. Participating artists include Hannalie Taute, Marianne Kemp and Themba Mbuyisa.
