CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL
“The Cape Town International Jazz Festival embraces the entire spectrum of the broad jazz genre, which – like our audience – is multi-faceted,” says Billy Domingo, Festival Director. For the past 19 years, the festival’s celebrated local and international artists, while also providing a platform for burgeoning musicians. It’s attended by some 37 000 jazz-lovers from all over the world, who come for the music, the vibe and the beauty of the Mother City. Get there!
Date: 23-24 March 2019. (A free concert for the city will be held on 20 March at Greenmarket Square.)
Tickets: At the time of going to print, only day passes were still available, at R750 pp.
Artists: Simphiwe Dana, Amanda Black, Jordan Rakei (New Zealand), Mi Casa, Corinne Bailey Rae (UK), Miles Mosley (USA) and The Soil.
