The latest iteration of Omega’s Railmaster is denim-inspired (R67 000). The Railmaster was originally marketed to scientists, technicians and railroad workers, who


had to work near forceful electromagnetic fields, so the choice of denim is a nod to them, since the material was originally worn only by labourers in the American West. The original Railmaster had a magnetic resistance of 1 000 gauss, whereas this


denim version has a Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 which is 15 times more


resistant. The watch has a brushed stainless steel case (40mm in diameter), with a cross-hatch in the centre of the dial, a


conical crown, triangular markers every five minutes and Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock. It features a light grey Super-


LumiNova application on the recessed hour markers and stainless steel hands. The


denim strap has leather on its underside, but if you’d prefer less denim, you can choose a stainless steel bracelet.
