Juan Molina Selected by Institute Board; Thanks Russ Gallagher for Service
T
he Investment Casting Insitute is pleased to announce the appointment of Juan Molina of FS Precision Tech Co LLC to the Institute’s Board of Directors as Russell Gallagher of Bescast, Inc. has stepped down from his role on the board. In accordance with the Institute’s Constitution and By-laws,
when a board member steps back from a position, the board can elect a new officer: “Whenever any casual vacancy occurs in the Board of Directors by death, resignation, employment by a nonmember company, or otherwise, it may be filled by (a) election or (b) invitation of the Board of Directors or (c) not filled by decision of the Board of Directors provided there shall not be more than two vacant directorships at any one time on an interim basis...” The Institute would like to thank Russell Gallagher for his selfless service on the Board of Directors.
Juan Molina FS Precision Tech Co LLC
Juan Molina has 30 years of broad business management and technology experience, has held several board level positions in his career, and has over 15 years of experience in titanium investment casting industry serving aerospace, defense, and commercial markets. Mr. Molina is currently employed as Executive Vice President and General Manager of FSPT. He received a Bachelors in Business from the University of Phoenix and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources. His experience includes business management and turnaround, healthcare executive, operational strategy, sales and account management, Six Sigma/lean leadership, and other traits.
Russell Gallagher, Bescast, Inc.
Russ is currently the Vice President at Bescast, Inc., a privately held investment casting supplier to aerospace celebrating 75 years in business. Russ began his career in 1978 in the shelling and casting departments while earning his degree in Metallurgical Engineering at the Ohio State University. He officially joined Bescast in 1985 and held positions as the NDT Level 3, Process and Product Engineering, and became the Engineering Manager in 1996 after receiving his Masters in Industrial Engineering. Russ was appointed VP of Engineering in 2002 and has a very hands-on approach to development and problem solving the hundreds of new castings that have been produced over the years and received a patent in 1996. Russ has served on the Bescast Board of Directors for Bescast since 2002 and has presented technical papers at the 2012 ICI Technical Conference and the 2014 ASM Metalcasting Congress. Russ been a member of the Board of Directors since 2015 and has worked as a member of the Publications Committee to update the Atlas of Casting Defects and led the effort to complete the Atlas of Wax Pattern defects; both great resources for our membership. Russ has served on the Awards Committee since 2019.
