HDMI TO CAT5 PRODUCTS Flight Display Systems introduces the HDMI to CAT5E/6 transmitter and receiver product set. These
new products make it easier than ever to run high-defini- tion (HD) video throughout the aircraft cabin. “We believe this is the missing link for displaying high- definition video in the aircraft cabin,” says David Gray, president of Flight Display Systems. “Now installers can use an industry-recognized aircraft cable for a previously limited wiring job.” The FDC5TX (transmitter) and FDC5RX (receiver)
provide an easy and flexible cabling solution for connecting high-definition (HD) source equipment and displays. They eliminate the need for costly aircraft-certified HDMI wire and amplifiers. Additionally, these two products allow cus- tomers to use a single Category 5E (CAT5E) or Category 6 (CAT6) cable to extend 1080i and 1080p video signals up to 100 feet. For more information visit
