MarathonNorco Aerospace, Inc. (MNAI) traces its origin to Marathon Battery Company (Marathon), which was founded in 1923 when they first began producing carbon-zinc dry batteries and cells. Since the early 1900’s Marathon has been an industry leader for providing power solutions for commercial and military aircraft applications.

In 2000 Marathon Power Technologies Company acquired Christie Electric Corp which enhanced its power product line to consist of the Christie battery chargers/analyzers as well as industrial AC to DC power supplies. The addition of Christie products complimented Marathon’s technol- ogy by adding a charger/analyzer which supports vented nickel-cadmium and sealed or vented lead-acid aircraft batteries. The RF80K charger is the industry standard, used buy all branches of the Armed Forces as well as many of the major airlines around the world as a critical and effec- tive tool for aircraft battery maintenance.

The most recent introduction is Marathon’s Micro Maintenance (M3 ) batteries which has refined

this unique technology to give the customer greatly reduced maintenance costs. Compared with standard nickel cadmium batteries, this technology provides reduced water consumption, faster recharge and greater energy density, which translates into longer flight hours between servicing, increased capacity retention, and faster, cooler engine starts. The M3

battery utilizes

the latest Polymer Bonded Electrode (PBE) negative electrode technology to ensure optimized performance and dependability, these batteries are currently being used on all large commercial aircraft, regional aircraft, military aircraft, corporate aircraft and helicopters. The Marathon Micro Maintenance batteries are offered in various power levels ranging from 17 to 75 ampere-hours, and are interchangeable with existing Nickel-Cadmium or lead acid batteries. The Marathon batteries are FAA-PMA approved for various aircraft models, therefore, you can easily make the change without aircraft modifications and can support the product with your existing battery shop equipment.
