for? 101

In 2017, Royal Caribbean International continued its Internship programme, welcoming a second group of exceptional students to learn first-hand about the cruise industry. Now in its second year, the partnership between Royal Caribbean International and The University of Chester is going from strength to strength, this year growing the group of interns from five to seven. The University of Chester is renowned for its excellent reputation, offering students a world-class introduction to tourism management, so the programme is an ideal partnership and a great opportunity for them to gain valuable skills and work experience. This year the students

were given the opportunity to apply for roles within a variety of sectors across the business. The successful candidates were then assigned a project to be delivered with the support of a dedicated mentor. The month-long internship kicked off with a three-night familiarisation cruise on Independence of the Seas to give the interns first-hand experience of the brand. Royal Caribbean will

continue to partner with the university and hopes to be able to offer the experience to many more students in the years to come.
