Virgin and Delta offer eight places on Florida fam trip
Virgin Atlantic and partner Delta Air Lines have teamed up with Visit Florida to offer eight agent places on a fam trip this June. To be in a draw to win a spot
on the week-long trip, agents must make bookings for either airline for UK flights to the Sunshine State through the vsflyinghub portal by March 31. Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air
Lines offer daily flights to Miami from Heathrow and up to three flights a day on Gatwick-Orlando. Virgin Atlantic also operates
Orlando flights from Belfast between April and August and from Glasgow between April and December, as well as 14 flights a week from Manchester to Orlando in the summer peak. Including connections, Virgin
and Delta can fly passengers to 16 Florida destinations. Sara Andell, Virgin Atlantic’s
head of consumer, said: “Visit Florida showcases all the diverse experiences and destinations available in Florida, not forgeting its world-class theme parks.” Nadia Clinton, Delta’s regional
sales manager for the UK and Ireland, said: “Now is a perfect time to think about booking a holiday to the Sunshine State and what better way to fly there than with Delta and Virgin Atlantic?”

EasyJet resumes Sharm flights from Manchester and Gatwick
Amie Keeley
EasyJet will resume flights to the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh later this year. The budget carrier will operate two flights a week
from both Manchester, from June 7, and from Gatwick, from September 30. The year-round services went on sale last week with
one-way fares from £99.99. Return flights cost from £160.07 from Manchester
and £244.16 from Gatwick. It will be the first time easyJet has flown to Sharm in
five years and follows the FCO’s change in travel advice to the Red Sea destination last October. Tui, Olympic Holidays and Red Sea Holidays put
Sharm back on sale at the end of last year. EasyJet has also extended its winter flights from Manchester to Hurghada to operate year-round, with
three flights a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays, with the first flight departing on June 1. The airline has added a three-times-a-week service
from Manchester to Rome, starting on June 7, and twice-weekly flights to Menorca, with the first flight on June 4. Rome flights start at £58.46 return and Menorca flights from £46.29 return. UK country manager Ali Gayward said easyJet’s
passenger numbers had grown by more than 17% in the last year at Manchester after the carrier based seven new aircraft at the airport. “The resumption of services to Sharm el-Sheikh
and year-round flights to Hurghada are both fantastic destinations for both summer and winter sun,” she said. “With stunning beaches boasting crystal-clear
waters, and great diving and marine life to explore, they will once again be a popular choice for our customers.”
